Master feeds 18% AV Layer Feed – Pellet or Crumble, 25 kg
18% Layer Feed for Laying Hens
Masterfeeds 18% AV Layer Feed is a prepared daily poultry ration formulated specifically for laying hens. Available in pellet or crumble form, this 25 kg chicken feed is a convenient choice for backyard flocks, hobby farms and suitable farm laying-hen programs.
The guaranteed analysis provides a minimum of 18% crude protein and an actual calcium level of 4%. The formula also supplies phosphorus, sodium and essential vitamins as part of a consistent feeding program. Masterfeeds directs that this product be fed as the sole ration to laying hens.
Customers can select the feed texture that best suits their flock and feeder system. Pellets provide consistent compressed pieces that are easy to handle and help minimize ingredient separation. Crumble consists of smaller particles that some hens may find easier to pick up. Both formats carry the same verified nutritional analysis.
Unlike scratch grain, which is intended only as a supplemental treat, this layer ration is formulated for everyday feeding during the laying stage. It should not be used as chick starter, broiler feed or feed for other animal species.

Feeding and Storage
Feed as the sole ration to laying hens. Provide clean, fresh water continuously. When birds have access to coarse litter or whole grains, follow the manufacturer’s directions regarding insoluble grit.
Keep feeders clean and do not allow stale feed to accumulate. Store the bag in a cool, clean, dry and covered location. Keep it sealed or transfer the feed to a clean, pest-resistant container. Never feed material that appears wet, mouldy, musty or contaminated.
